Trisha Pranjivan

Founder

speech -language pathologist

I was born and raised in Surrey, BC, and I’m a proud mom to a toddler, a newborn, and my fur-baby Maple. I love to travel, go on hikes with my dog, and spend time with my family. I spent six years in London, where I gained valuable experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in multidisciplinary private practice and school settings. While in London, I also started a speech therapy blog, which was nominated for the UK Blog Awards.

I have been working with children with special needs for the past 15 years and have dedicated the past decade to passionately supporting children and their families with specialized speech-language services. I specialize in early intervention and Autism Spectrum Disorders, providing neurodiversity-affirming care that respects and celebrates each child’s unique differences. My approach is play-based and child-led, ensuring that therapy honors each child’s pace and interests. As a mom, I bring a personal understanding and empathy to my therapy sessions, creating a warm and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Katreena Abernathy

Speech -Language Pathologist

Hi! My name is Katreena and I am a budding new SLP. Although I come from interior BC, I have spent the past seven years here in the lower mainland receiving an education all about pediatric speech, language and social development while at the same time collecting various real-world experiences working with children and adolescents. Throughout my education and work experience, I have had the privilege of learning from specialized Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) teams, fast-paced private practices and diverse rural caseloads which included working with many children and adolescents with complex communication needs.  Now that I enter this new chapter, I am excited to continue to learn and grow alongside your child.

As an SLP I am passionate about providing family and client-centred care. I strive to do so in my day-to-day practice by utilizing your child's strengths to help them grow and teaching them how to use helpful strategies while still advocating for their needs. I also believe in the importance of recognizing different forms of communication and working to strengthen them all to provide your child with as diverse a communication toolbox as possible.

As a new member of the team and a recent SLP graduate, I bring to the team a basis of research-based practice with a focus on neurodiversity-affirming care, a drive to expand what I know and an excitement for the work. I also always make sure to bring many toys, silly songs and games with me to help keep your child engaged and having fun.
